Viv's Vent Cleaning

Residential dryer vent cleaning across South Florida.

A 45-minute service that makes your dryer faster, your home safer, and your electric bill smaller.

If your dryer is taking two cycles to finish a load, the laundry room feels hot when the dryer runs, or you can smell something burnt — your vent is clogged. We clear it from the inside of the dryer all the way to the outside cover, using high-pressure rotary brushes and HEPA-filtered vacuums. Most South Florida homes are done in 45 minutes, and the difference in drying time is immediate.

Why South Florida homes need it more often

Humidity is what makes Florida lint different. Damp lint sticks tighter to vent walls than dry lint, builds up faster, and is far slower to clear. Add salty coastal air and the long roof runs common in Florida construction, and you have a vent line that genuinely benefits from yearly attention. We've cleaned vents in Boca, Delray, Pembroke Pines, Coral Gables, and dozens of other Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties — the issue is consistent regardless of how new or well-kept the home is.

Signs it's time

Drying takes longer than one cycle. The dryer feels hot to the touch on the outside. The laundry room is unusually warm or humid when the dryer runs. You see less air coming out of the outside vent flap when the dryer is on. Clothes come out with lint stuck to them. Any of these and you're due. If you can't remember your last cleaning, you're definitely due.

What the cleaning actually does

We disconnect the dryer, snake a rotary brush through the entire vent line (often 6–30 feet in South Florida homes), and pull out the buildup with a HEPA-filtered vacuum. We test airflow at the outside cover before and after so you can see the difference. If we find a damaged cover, a disconnected duct behind the dryer, or a flex hose that should be replaced, we tell you up front — we don't fix things you didn't ask us to without your say-so.

Frequently asked questions

How often should I clean my dryer vent in Florida?
Once a year for most households. More often if you have a long vent line, a household of 4+, dry frequently, or have pets that shed.
How long does it take?
Most South Florida homes are done in 45 minutes. Longer roof runs or first-time-ever cleanings can take up to 90 minutes.
Will I notice a difference?
Immediately. Drying times often drop by 30–50% after a thorough cleaning, and the laundry room stays cooler. You'll also see the lint we pulled — that part is genuinely satisfying.
Do you service condos and townhomes?
Yes — we work in single-family homes, townhomes, condos, and villas. For full buildings, see our multi-unit service.
